Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Scholarships 2024

The Doha Institute offers scholarships annually to attract academically qualified students from Qatar and abroad, based on academic merit or financial need.

General Conditions

Scholarships cannot be combined with others.

Students must maintain good academic standing, or the scholarship may be revoked.

Executive master’s, diploma, and certificate students are ineligible.

Students who have previously received a scholarship cannot reapply.



Types of Scholarships

1.Tamim Scholarship (Merit-Based)

Designed for academically outstanding students from Qatar and across the Arab world, this scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees and provides additional benefits such as:

Full coverage of university housing fees.

Monthly stipends.

Round-trip airfare.

Health insurance.



2.Sanad Scholarship (Need-Based)

Available for students with financial need, this scholarship offers coverage ranging from 10% to 100% of tuition fees for Qatari students and full coverage for international students. Additional benefits include:

University housing coverage.

Monthly stipends.

Round-trip airfare.

Health insurance.


3.External Sponsorship Grants

These grants are funded by external organizations and are available based on the terms set by the sponsoring entities. They are open to students nominated by partner institutions to pursue studies at the Institute.

Eligible Programs

Scholarships are available for students in the following fields:

School of Social Sciences and Humanities: Political Science, Sociology, Philosophy, History, Media Studies, and more.

School of Public Administration and Development Economics: Public Policy, Economics, Administration.

School of Psychology and Social Work: Clinical and Social Psychology, Social Work.

Conflict Management and Humanitarian Action.

Academic transcripts.

Graduation certificate or statement of completion.

CV in Arabic.

Personal statement (1000 words).

IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent (if applicable).
