Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Scholarship 2024

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies offers a number of scholarships annually to attract academically qualified students from inside and outside Qatar. These scholarships are awarded either based on academic merit or financial need.

General Conditions for Scholarships

Students are not allowed to combine Doha Institute scholarships with any other scholarship, regardless of its source.
Scholarships are only valid for students who maintain good academic standing, and the Institute reserves the right to withdraw scholarships from students who fail to meet this condition, in accordance with its procedures.
Students enrolled in executive master’s, diploma, or specialized certificate programs are not eligible for the Institute’s scholarships. However, they may benefit from external sponsorship scholarships if they meet the relevant conditions.
Students who have previously benefited from the same scholarships at the Institute, whether or not they obtained a degree, are ineligible to apply for the Institute’s scholarships again.

Documents Required

Copy of passport.
Bachelor’s degree transcript or equivalent. Final-year students must submit all available transcripts up to the application date.
Graduation certificate or an official statement confirming graduation (if applicable).
CV in Arabic.
Proof of English proficiency:
IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent in TOEFL, or an official statement from the university confirming that English was the language of instruction during undergraduate studies.
Personal statement of 1,000 words.
Academic writing sample (only for applicants to the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Conflict Management and Humanitarian Action, or Critical Studies programs).

How to Apply

1. Applicants must create a personal account on the application system.
2. Only one application per applicant is allowed. Applications for multiple programs will not be considered.
3. The application form can be completed over several sessions, with changes saved at the end of each sessions.
4. Applicants must fill out the form and upload all required documents.
5. Recommendation letters are requested electronically through the same system.
6. Recommenders will receive an email with a link to access and submit the recommendation form.
7. Applicants can monitor the status of recommendation letter submissions through the system.
