Role Overview: Finance Accountant
As a Finance Accountant based in Port Sudan, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of Plan International’s Country Office. This includes overseeing payments, treasury management, payroll, and ensuring compliance with tax and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management: Handle all payments for the country office, including cash management, supplier payments, and online banking transactions.
Payroll: Prepare and release monthly payroll for staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with government regulations.
Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing month-end financial reports, managing fixed assets, and supporting internal and external audits.
Cash Management: Manage petty cash, track cash advances, reconcile bank accounts, and oversee treasury operations.
Compliance: Ensure all financial operations comply with local tax regulations and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
Education: A degree in Accounting is required. Professional qualifications such as ACCA or IFRS certification are preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a finance role, with at least 3 years in the NGO sector preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, MS Dynamics), strong analytical skills, fluency in English, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
